Who wants to help me write a story about the Indian culture?

Okay i'm running a bit low on ideas here. so the thing is, i gotta make a children's book in my history class for a project and my partner isn't helping me at ALL. so as you can see, it's kinda on my own hands. so basically, the plot of the story is that this little indian boy needs to do this great awesome deed like killing some animal to prove his manhood. you guys got any ideas how i can start out the story and all?
