Propose to Boyfriend?

I'm like you I wouldn't dare as a woman ever propose to a man. It's not practical only because of tradition that I have been brought up on. I know there are several woman out there who have proposed to their man and the man said yes. I just can't see myself doing that. In your case, if you don't feel comfortable doing the proposing then don't. It shouldn't feel unnatural when proposing. It just comes out when ready. Since you both have already been on the subject of marriage etc. it sounds like he's wanting that with you and it may not be a long a time before you are proposed to. you both are in your 40's and are very mature adults it seems. It takes a guy awhile to finally get the courage to ask even if they know the woman they are with will say yes. It's a scary thing no matter what. I've been with my boyfriend for now almost 4 years not living together and no proposal yet. Friends and family tell me to leave him because I'm in my 30's wasting my time on a slow guy. Sorry, but I choose to listen to my heart and not what they say. They don't understand. I say stick with tradition and be patient =) But at the same time I'm also leaning towards the fact you both are older and mature enough to break traditions and make it something uniquely special of your own!
